Airi is a Kenyan contemporary fashion brand that makes hand-woven sisal bags. We create hard-to find eclectic pieces that incorporate distinct design with excellent craftsmanship. Along with this we strive as a brand to create value for our skilled women weavers, artisans and local raw material manufacturers.

The Ukanda collection was inspired by idyllic locales along the East African coastline. The vibrant market places, the slow pace of life in the towns, historical yet well preserved structures and the dynamic cultures reflect a rustic sophistication that remains unmatched. Each bag is named after a specific location from Lamu in Kenya to Zanzibar in Tanzania. Asymmetrical cow-horn accents feature prominently on the bags which pay homage to suprematism and its significance in the modern African experience.
